Eighth Catalogue of the Orbital Elements of Spectroscopic Binary Systems

The Eighth Catalogue is presented below as a text file, 144 bytes wide by 4,407 lines long. The format of the data file has been altered somewhat from the style used in the Astronomical Data Center's CDROM (1,469 records of 240 bytes each). Each star is now given two lines of data, followed by a blank line. Click
here for a complete description of both the original and modified formats.

The extensive notes from the catalogue have been converted to HTML and linked to this data file. To read the notes for a given star, click on the running star number at the left end of the line of data. Click here for a list of abbreviated references used in the notes.
