The Eighth Catalogue is presented below as a text file, 144 bytes wide
by 4,407 lines long. The format of the data file has been altered
somewhat from the style used in the Astronomical Data Center's
CDROM (1,469 records of 240 bytes each). Each star is now given two
lines of data, followed by a blank line. Click
here for a complete description of both the original and modified
formats.
The extensive notes from the catalogue have been converted to HTML and
