Meeting Minutes

4:31pm Treasurer Angela and Secretary Kevin arrive with hot, delicious pizza.

4:33pm Secretary Kevin kicks Member Alvin out of his seat during pizza consumption.

4:35pm President Dave calls the meeting to order.

4:37pm All members should make sure their directory entries are current and correct.

4:38pm Sky & Telescope subscriptions are available at a discounted rate of $29.99. See Treasurer Angela for details.

4:39pm Secretary Kevin gives a report on the telescope making project. Supplies should be arriving any day now.

4:40pm Due to recent events, inviting Sally Ride to speak is probably not a good idea. Phil Plait from badastronomy.com will be invited instead.

4:42pm Solar observing will be held next Monday at 1:30pm in the Plaza (location decided by a hand vote)

4:44pm Night observing will be the week after that, at 6:30pm in the lab room.

4:47pm A movie review is proposed, with 2001: A Space Odyssey thoroughly rejected by everyone in the club.

4:50pm Observing at HLCO is mentioned, possibly on Wednesday nights.

4:58pm Members Erika and Ellyn volunteer to plan all future club events.

5:00pm President Dave's lame surprise for the meeting is letting members plan stuff.

5:01pm The Messier Marathon will be held at the end of March (date TBA)

5:02pm Plans to go see a shuttle launch are obviously cancelled.

5:03pm A camping trip in April may be held. Member John Subasavage volunteers to be in charge.

5:05pm President Dave officially concludes the meeting.

5:06pm Pizza consumption resumes, along with other miscellaneous brick-a-brack.
