Meeting Minutes

2:59 pm - Secretary Ellyn goes off in search of missing officers.

3:01 pm - Meeting starts.

3:02 pm - Monthly events are discussed. See the main webpage for dates and times.

3:04 pm - It's pointed out that the first Night-time Observing session is on Valentine's Day. Bring your sweetheart to gaze at the stars. It's very romantic.

3:09 pm - The Astro Movie will be Pitch Black this month. It won the second-place votes by a landslide.

3:10 pm - The next meeting is 3/3 at 3:00 pm.

3:11 pm - Dues are due. Now.

3:12 pm - We finally got our money from the Student Activities Committee! Only eight months late! That means we can do all sorts of fun things for the rest of the semester.

3:13 pm - The upcoming trip to PARI is discussed. It's on Saturday, February 12th and will only be cancelled if there's bad weather in the mountains. If you haven't already let one of the officers know that you want to go, send us an email so we have some kind of head count. An email will go out on Monday, Feb. 7th with more details.

3:20 pm - We still want to go to the Coca-Cola Science Center around late March/early April. We'll pay for transportation and admission, and we'll discuss this more at the next meeting.

3:21 pm - The Messier Marathon will be in April this year, due to the new moon in March falling during Spring Break. The date is Saturday, April 9th, and more details will follow as we get closer.

3:24 pm - We're still planning to go camping in May, maybe in northern Georgia or northern Alabama. Details to follow.

3:25 pm - Meeting is adjourned.
