Meeting Minutes

3:05 pm - There is a dearth of Astronomy Club members.

3:06 pm - Monthly events are discussed. See the main webpage for dates and times.

3:08 pm - Yay! An Astronomy Club member arrives!

3:11 pm - Treasurer Angela asserts "we're loaded". We have lots of funds to spend before the end of the fiscal year, hence all the trips we're planning. What fun.

3:13 pm - Elections for Astronomy Club royalty will be held at the April meeting. President Erika was renominated for President, VP Bryan was nominated for Treasurer, but that was it. The VP and Secretary positions need people, so please email Secretary Ellyn with more nominations. Remember, competition is good for the soul.

3:15 pm - The Messier Marathon will be held on Saturday, April 9th in the ideal case, and on Friday, April 8th if it looks like bad weather for Saturday. We'll discuss the Marathon in glorious gory detail at the April meeting. There will be a BBQ beforehand, and bring warm clothes and something to sit/sleep in if you like.

3:18 pm - We plan on going to the Coca-Cola Science Center in Columbus, GA in May. More details to follow.

3:19 pm - We're also planning on a camping trip in June, hopefully between the May-mester and summer semester. More details to follow on that as well.

3:20 pm - Any Astronomy Movie suggestions for the April 1st showing would be welcome. The Right Stuff was nominated, and other ideas are welcome.

3:21 pm - Meeting is adjourned.
