Information for my Astronomy Lab Students

The Introductory Astronomy Classes website

On-campus observing sessions will be held on a date to be announced
Bring Lab #31 and a pencil.
It will probably take about an hour.

Stellar Magnitudes and Colors - the due date will be one week after it is assigned. I don't budge much on this...

The star chart websites I like:
- Heavens Above - remember our user ID and our password! Go to the "Astronomy" section and click on "Whole Sky Map" - modify to your liking
- Wunderground - Input ZIP code, go to the "Astronomy" section, click on "Star Chart" - modify to your liking

For observing, if you would like, you can go to Fernbank Observatory (here is a link - go to "Public Programs"). The planetarium show DOES NOT count, but looking through their telescope does :)
Remember, you have to look at 5 different objects AND draw a picture!

Here are some links (from the GSU Intro Astro page) that you may find interesting.
