My Third Observing Trip!!
The "diary" from my first run (Aug. 2004)
The "diary" from my second run (Oct. 2004)
Location: Kitt Peak National Observatory on Kitt Peak outside of Tucson, AZ
Run 1 - the 0.9 meter Coudé Feed Spectrograph
Run 2 - the 2.1 m telescope (both in the same building)
Run 1 - Tuesday, November 8 to Monday, November 14
Run 2 - Wednesday, November 16 to Wednesday, November 23, 2005
Run 1 - me
Run 2 - Ginny McSwain and I (but Ginny leaves Monday)
Images of the glorious mountain accommodations!
For Run 1, I'm basically doing the same batch of stars that I did last year and the set-up is pretty much exactly the same as the August 2004 run - we're trying to do some time scale stuff. More later...
My telescope, the Coudé Feed and how to use it.
For Run 2, I'm helping a former GSU grad student and my former roomie with her run. She's at Yale now and ends up getting a good amount of telescope time (she has good projects). Well, for this run, she needed help because it ends right before Thanksgiving and her whole family is coming up to her place for the holiday this year.
We're also doing spectroscopy and we're looking for stars that are binary systems with one of the pair a black hole (we can't see the black hole, just it's effects). More later...
The 2.1 meter telescope and the procedure.

5:10 a.m. - woke up
6:20 a.m. - left the house and got on MARTA and got to the airport with plenty of time :)
8:20 a.m. - plane took off (after sitting on the runway for 25 minutes), transferred in Phoenix, then a short 22 min flight to Tucson
on the ATL to PHX flight, they asked for "people with medical training" - a lady was having chest pains and shortness of breath :(
coulda gotten a free ticket as the flight was overbooked, but alas...
1:00 p.m. (MST) - got to NOAO headquarters in plenty of time for the 2 p.m. shuttle :)
3:30 p.m. - Arrived on Kitt Peak :) I'm staying in the WIYN house rather than the dorms for now :)
Got a quick little refresher on Coudé operation from Daryl
Day 1: The daytime weather not too bad...
4:45 p.m. - supper-time!! - it has to be early because the Sun is setting around 5:30 so I can start getting everything ready at that time (in time to observe at 6-ish)
5:35 p.m. - up to the scope - we had some problems because the telescope thought it was ready to go when it really wasn't or it would think it wasn't ready when it really was. Solution: reboot - it always is...
6:10 p.m. - message for DOMES CLOSED due to threatening clouds but it was rather clear above... We stayed open for a while anyways because we were having those issues with the scope - honestly, it would work, it was just a little confused...
clouds definately got worse :(
Angela called :)
I ended up napping for a bit ;) I was tired!!
1:30 a.m. - went outside for a minute and noticed it was clearish (but windy) - however, I never got word that I could open so I didn't.
3:00 a.m. - threw in the towel and went to bed. I found out the next day that people had opened up for a few hours between 11 and 3 but NO ONE TOLD ME!! I'm not supposed to have to call around - they send out broadcast messages usually. Dammit.
Total observing time: ~30 min
Star total: 5
My soundtrack for the night: Classical on the radio (Daryl's pick) ; sounds of irritation ; Playlist: KindaFun ; They Might Be Giants - Flood ; Angela on the phone ; U2 - Best of 1990 to 2000 ; my snores ;)

Day 2: The daytime weather turned out pretty nice
9:55 a.m. - Argh! I'm awake! However, I did lay in bed for an hour after that ;)
I got completely stymied by the shower :(
met Eric - the other person staying at the WIYN house with me (another grad student, from Yale) - he told me how the shower worked :)
1:00 p.m. - Lunchtime!! the food here is pretty decent, but kinda cafeteria-y
meandered up to the telescope, filled the liquid nitrogen dewar, gave a tour of it to Eric, sent a tarball of last night's data to Georgia, got stuff set up computer-wise
4:30 p.m. - Suppertime!!
The lovely sunset
5:30 p.m. - up to the scope to start with the preliminaries
6:03 p.m. - official word that DOMES ARE OPEN!! I started observing and I have a TON of stars right at the beginning of the night so it was very busy
7:25 p.m. - finally turned on my laptop to check e-mail to see if I needed to add any stars (none til much later in the night)
8:10 p.m. - Daryl called to ask if everything was going well :) - right after I hung up I realized my comparison spectra weren't working - I called him back and he had me change lamps and stuff - finally we realized that I was turning the wrong switch!! USER ERROR! Idiot me :(
9:00 p.m. - got back to the stars :\
9:12 p.m. - finally turned on some music!
Ginny called :)
I can't seem to add any of the new stars into the cache!! (the cache makes for easier and faster telescope pointing)
Andrew called :)
5:15 a.m. - I've run out of stars to observe!! Sunrise is at 5:30 and I only have really dim stars left (like 30 min exposures)
6:01 a.m. - got to my room (after a brief attempt at astrophotography - the best pic)
Total observing time: ~11 hrs
Star total: 83 :) Hot damn :)
Music: Shakira - Laundry Service ; Sarah McLachlan - Touch ; Ginny on the phone ; They Might Be Giants - Mink Car ; Playlist: KindaFunToo ; Queen - Greatest Hits (maroon) ; Andrew on phone ; Sting - Ten Summoners Tales (only part)

Day 3: The daytime weather
9:30 a.m. - woke up, thought what the hell and went back to sleep :)
1:15 p.m. - that's more like it! :) I missed lunch, but ehh...
dinked around, filled the dewar
3:30 p.m. - Ginny arrived!! It's kinda funny - I'm on the Coudé Feed, Ginny's on WIYN, Bill & Brian are on the 4 meter - we all have gone or are going to GSU for grad school :) It's old home week at Kitt Peak :)
4:40 p.m. - supper time!! Boy the weather doesn't look good...
The amazing fiery sunset!!
5:30 p.m. - up to the scope to get stuff ready
7:17 p.m. - official word that domes were CLOSED :( (I hadn't opened anyways)
9:44 p.m. - DOMES ARE OPEN! Tonight I have lots of dimmer stars (longer exposures = not as hectic)
11:30 p.m. - Wow, my stars are REALLY jumping around!! It is quite windy out there and my scope is highly susceptible to the wind :( I have to stop for now...
12:57 a.m. - looks like it's calmed enough to let me take some data... I'm trying!
1:09 a.m. - DOMES CLOSED due to FOG - wow I just had a totally surreal experience shutting down! (a description)
4:11 a.m. - DOMES CLOSED due to high wind (they were closed anyways...)
4:40 a.m. - got the call for the nightly report - humidity is up again too, so we're just gonna call it a night.
5:08 a.m. - sleepytime!!
Total observing time: 1 hr 45 min
Star total: 12
Tonight's musical selections: Playlist: Erika1 ; Enya - Paint the Sky With Stars ; from frater Ian - Happy CD 1 ; Michael Jackson - HIStory Part 1 (i.e. Greatest Hits) ; Sting - Mercury Falling ; Seal - Seal IV ; Tori Amos - Boys for Pele ; Manu Chao - Clandestino

Day 4: The daytime weather
11:30 a.m. - guess it's time to get up... Damn. But the morning is gorgeous (if a bit chilly)
I made my own lunch (of pasta!) as I'm going to get sick of the food here (15 days people!)
chatted with Ginny
2:00 p.m. - went to the scope to fill the dewar - there was no liquid nitrogen tank!!! Turns out they took it to fill it up :)
took a walk with Ginny to the 4 meter, then back to WIYN to get her stuff started (her CCD is bigger and takes longer to read out than mine)
4:40 p.m. - suppertime!! The tacos weren't bad :)
5:30 p.m. - got up to the scope, the weather turned out to be pretty damn clear :) Yay!!
5:36 p.m. - got the official word that DOMES ARE OPEN! Yes!
6:01 p.m. - started the first star of the night
10:14 p.m. - doing simultaneous observing of HD16429 with Ginny (at WIYN) and Bill & Brian (at the 4 meter) ;) We're so nerdy :)
Andrew called :)
screwed around with websites, playlists, etc... and feeling tired :(
5:30 a.m. - got the call for the nightly observing report
5:54 a.m. - got done with my last star!!
The sunrise :)
6:23 a.m. - into bed - but I seem to have caught a second wind :( Trouble falling asleep...
Total observing time: 11 hours, 53 min!! wow
Star total: 54 (lots of fainter ones)
The night's music: Michael Jackson - Thriller ; Simon & Garfunkel - Bridge Over Troubled Water ; Santana - Best of Santana (but it seems only a selection thereof) ; Billy Joel - River of Dreams ; Sting/The Police - The Very Best of Sting and the Police ; Daft Punk - Discovery ; Forrest Gump Soundtrack - Disc 2 ; From brother - Classical Fantasy 2 ; Enya - The Memory of Trees ; The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart Club Band

Day 5: The daytime weather
11:30 a.m. - woke up, but I don't wanna get up!
1:45 p.m. - there we go :) Got myself out of bed (you know, the non-observing part of the day gets shorter and shorter...)
3:00 p.m. - Ginny and I went to visit the 4 meter - we got a tour from Bill and Brian (pics!!)
4:05 p.m. - had to go fill my dewar, Ginny had to get her telescope started with calibration stuff
4:40 p.m. - Suppertime!! (manicotti, broccoli, spinich, garlic bread)
Ginny informs us her telescope is not working :( She may not get to observe all night!!
5:30 p.m. - up to the scope - there are cirrus clouds... but I'm still gonna open!!
6:00 p.m. - my first star of the night!!
6:08 p.m. - started my music... Dood, I'm gonna run out of stuff to listen to!
12:00 a.m. - refilled my dewar - it's been warming up at the end of the night (it only lasts about 12 hours) and so I thought I would nip the problem in the bud this time around!
1:10 a.m. - Ginny stopped by because her telescope is still on the fritz and she's restless (it happens when it's a nice night and you can't observe) but she got called back right when she got here...
I napped a little ;)
5:27 a.m. - got the call for the nightly observing report - I'm pressing on into twilight...
6:06 a.m. - got done with my last star!
The sunrise :)
6:29 a.m. - got into bed - again, the cold of the night woke me up and my mind raced :( Damn
Total observing time: 12 hours, 6 min again, wow
Star total: 52 (lots of fainter ones)
Musica de Noche: They Might Be Giants - Flood ; The Beatles - 1 ; the sounds of silence... ; Madonna - Ray of Light ; the sounds of silence again... ;
Sunday, November 13, 2005
It will be my last night on the Coudé Feed (I have 2 nights off then I go to the 2.1 meter with Ginny)
Day 6: The daytime weather a totally gorgeous day and actually rather warm :)
11:15 a.m. - woke up and this time had a hard time getting back to sleep :(
1:30 p.m. - actually dragged myself out of bed and made my own lunch (of pasta) again :) Nummy!
3:00 p.m. - Ginny and I wandered taking pictures (you shall see the fruits of such labors soon!) - in the sun one could actually wander in a tank top!! Wacky desert mountain weather...
4:00 p.m. - Ginny had to get her telescope going (it's working again) so I meandered, made shuttle reservations (to see Aunt Jill and Grandma!)...
4:40 p.m. - suppertime! gross-looking chickenfriedsteak was the main course, so I had a bunch of sides and a salad... Blegh.
The sunset looks like another nice night!!!
5:35 p.m. - up to the telescope and started stuff
6:05 p.m. - my first star!!
Angela called :)
Angie called :)
Andrew called :)
working on websites... got the Accommodations one up, the Coudé one is partially up
2:15 a.m. - refilled my dewar (like last night)
4:15 a.m. - Ginny dropped by because now the dome of her telescope won't work!! Ah well.
5:56 a.m. - finished my last star of my Coudé Feed run!!
6:12 a.m. - finished shutting down
The sunrise :) and the sunrise with a longer exposure Those bright things are Jupiter (the lower one) and the star Spica.
I also took some star pictures. Here is part of Orion and Canis Major - at the bottom of the picture you can see a red glow from inside a dome - that's a radio telescope :) Here is Orion and Canis Major again, a better pic :)
Total observing time: 11 hours, 50 min
Star total: 44 (lots of fainter ones) -- there were only 2 stars on my list that I couldn't get to because they set too fast (there were 2 others that were just too faint)
Musik Nacht: remixes of video game music, some better than others :)
Monday, November 14, 2005
It's a day off for me so I slept and just messed around :)
Day 7: The daytime weather was just gorgeous again :) Nice and warm
11:30 a.m. - damn, why do I ALWAYS want to get up at this time??? goin' back to bed...
1:15 p.m. - dragged my sorry butt out of bed, did stuff
2:45 p.m. - went to the mountain office to see if we get to stay in the WIYN house for any longer - we get to stay til Saturday afternoon then we move in to the dorms
went up to WIYN to see if the dome was fixed yet so she could observe - seems to be :)
4:30 p.m. - suppertime! grilled chicken and veggies, not bad...
I watched everyone go up to their scopes and I get to just dink around :) Hee hee! I'll go down the mountain tomorrow.
I didn't get sunset pictures tonight, it's pretty much the same as last night and I don't really have to care too much :)
Just working on webpages. Coudé is done. The one about Coudé observing procedure is done now too. Yay!!
1:15 a.m. - went to the Coudé control room to do some file-transferring
visited Ginny at WIYN and didn't have to use a flashlight (description)
got a few nighttime pictures that I'll post soon...
4:00 a.m. - went to bed :)
Tunes: again, remixes of video game music - I'm trying to see which ones I like - dood, there is 11 HOURS of this stuff!! Wow :)
Tuesday, November 15, 2005
My second day off!!
Day 8: Heehee, day off!! This is on the patio at the WIYN house - it was really quite nice and warm in the sun...
12:00 p.m. - got up and got ready, searched on-line for things to do in Tucson
3:50 p.m. - got on the shuttle down the mountain
5:20 p.m. - got to NOAO headquarters on the Univ. of Arizona campus
met my friend Brian who's pad I shall crash at, he wandered off to do his thing
I walked, found 2 used bookstores, a good Japanese restaurant, a coffee shop (for hot chocolate), and a partridge in a pear tree :) (LJ post about it)
10:00 p.m. - hooked up with Brian again - he gave me "Mary Poppins" to watch :)
messed around until I gave in to the sleepiness...
2:45 a.m. - went to sleep - probably a little too early to stay on the night schedule well, but ah well...
Wednesday, November 16, 2005
Day 9: this is in the "Mars Garden" at the U of A The daytime weather (first in Tucson) then on the mountain
10:40 a.m. - I had my alarm go off (trying to be somewhat civil)
11:50 a.m. - got to the U of Arizona where I chatted with the education folks I know and then went out to lunch with Brian :) We went to a place called "Eric's"
Brian showed me the Mars Garden which is at LPL (the Lunar and Planetary Lab at the U of A) - apparently they got a bunch of money to make this and there was some calibration of the Mars Pathfinder there. The closest I'll ever be to the surface of Mars:
1:30 p.m. - went to NOAO headquarters to check in for the 2 p.m. shuttle up the mountain
I convinced the guys I was going up the mountain with to stop at the grocery store :) Yay non-cafeteria food every meal!!
3:30 p.m. - got to the mountain and went right up to the 2.1 meter to get an introductory tour
4:30 p.m. - suppertime! I didn't like the pork chops but other stuff was good.
Sunset from a slightly different vantage point now that bright thing on the horizon is actually the Moon!!
5:35 p.m. - got back up to the telescope to start getting things ready.
we had a few very minor glitches (there were some hot/dead pixels on the CCD right in some important spectral lines) and just getting stuff checked out (we officially weren't supposed to start observing til midnight (equipment checkout) but everything was fine so we did it!)
the 2.1 meter isn't quite as awesome to work with as the Feed, but it's okay - I'll post procedures soon)
8:02 p.m. - really started our first star
no one told me I had THREE different years in the dates on this page! Damn (2004/5/6) I've now changed them all if you're wondering...
ugh, so tired...
5:05 a.m. - our last star of the night has ended!! Even though we have a little bit more dark time, we have no more stars on the program so we're headed to bed early ;)
5:44 a.m. - in bed :)
No music tonight...
Thursday, November 17, 2005
Day 10: no daytime weather pics today as I got up rather late ;) but I will say it was the first not-totally-clear day in days - cirrus-y clouds
11:30 a.m. - the traditional waking-up-and-going-back-to-sleep...
2:30 p.m. - heh, I'm getting better :) But then again, that leaves little time for other stuff :(
2:45 p.m. - a siren went off on the mountain :( It kinda sounded like a tornado siren (hey, I'm a Midwesterner)... Then a fire engine siren... Guess it's time to get up. I found out later it was either a false alarm or a fire drill (I got conflicting reports :/ )
dinked around with e-mail and other stuff
4:35 p.m. - Suppertime!! Ooo, Mexican food! Chicken enchilada, spanish rice, bean tostada :) It's their best supper.
ahh, the sunset... and here's an example of what the daytime weather was like:
5:20 p.m. - gotta go up to the telescope to get everything situated (stopped by the house first to get our crap)
6:20 p.m. - first star of the night (dang, it just takes a while to get this telescope going - I miss the Feed)
7:11 p.m. - got an e-mail from Doug (my advisor and Ginny's former advisor) asking us to look at a certain star (which we actually happened to be looking at right then!) - we looked for a while (the spectra were doing some stupid things...)
9:05 p.m. - we finally turned on some music - it's just Ginny's computer on shuffle... I don't want to keep up with what's on...
hmmm, it sure got windy - averaging about 41 mph... We close around 45... But that never happened :)
5:15 a.m. - darn scope won't let me adjust my star in the North/South direction :( Had to reboot computer :(
6:07 a.m. - finally finished our last star (we would have been done a half-hour ago if not for problem)
6:42 a.m. - finally done shutting down (I like the Feed - it doesn't take as long for stuff)
The sunrise it's much brighter than I've been seeing it as I got to bed later than any other night...
6:53 a.m. - got into bed
Music - Ginny's computer decided our selections...
Friday, November 18, 2005
Day 11: The daytime weather
12:00 p.m. - again, it's waking-up-and-going-back-to-sleep...
2:00 p.m. - got up, made some lunch for myself (rather than cafeteria)
3:15 p.m. - meandered over to the visitor's center
4:00 p.m. - Ginny and I went to the scope for some pictures (you'll get to see them soon)
we found that our filter might have a leak in it (too much light getting in) - we had to change it
4:35 p.m. - supper! Italian this time - not too bad :)
the pretty sunset...
5:30 p.m. - to the house for our crap then up to the scope for the preliminaries
it's windy and cold :(
6:15 p.m. - got our first star!!
7:51 p.m. - the control room mouse made it's first appearence!! Ugh. Startling more than anything...
10:30 p.m. - again, the mouse appears! grrrrr
2:50 a.m. - mouse sighting #3
4:55 a.m. - wow, that mouse is rather determined...
4:58 a.m. - finished our last star :)
waited for a little while for data to FTP (transfer) to a computer at GSU (they were gonna do work on the system), but I decided to just go to sleep and leave it to Ginny
5:55 a.m. - in bed :) Yay!! But we have to move to the dorms tomorrow :(
Music - none...
Saturday, November 19, 2005
Day 12: The daytime weather
11:00 a.m. - Ugh, going back to sleep!
1:30 p.m. - gotta get up!! Gotta move out of the WIYN house and into the dorms
made a bunch of pasta while I could because I won't have access to a stove anymore... And cafeteria food gets old :(
2:15 p.m. - ate the last lunch out on the patio of the WIYN house :( Sigh.
2:40 p.m. - offically moved in to the dorms and took a shower and stuff
3:30 p.m. - went up to the scope to fill the dewar and stuff - also finished up stuff with the Feed...
4:35 p.m. - suppertime! We meet lots of different people in the dining hall - good networking ;)
sunset - a little earlier than normal...
5:20 p.m. - started meandering up to the scope...
had a couple of visitors - observers on the 0.9 meter
6:15 p.m. - got out first star :)
finished modifications to my main webpage and a couple of new pages that resulted. The Pictures page is in the queue :)
8:00 p.m. - got my HUGE list of much of my music going (but mostly peppier stuff) - 20 hours...
pretty much finished my description of the 2.1 meter telescope and got started on the procedure...
4:50 a.m. - our telescope TOTALLY lost where it was pointing!! Lost 10 minutes :(
5:34 a.m. - finished last star :) and we don't have to do flats so we get to just go to bed!! Yippee!
6:10 a.m. - beddybye! :)
Music - Long playlist...
Sunday, November 20, 2005
Day 13 (but I thought it was Day 12 all day and created an awesome picture but it's wrong!!! It's awesome though):
The daytime weather (from new vantage points - the solar telescope and outside my back window)
11:00 a.m. - Like clockwork...
12:45 p.m. - I woke up for real - first night in the full size bed :) Ahh, the space :)
3:30 p.m. - went up to the telescope to fill the dewar (it needs to be babysat)
4:45 p.m. - after finding Ginny finally, suppertime!! Pork roast, tater, mac and cheese... not bad!
sunset - with Ginny :)
5:35 p.m. - gathering of the crap and up to the scope
6:22 p.m. - our first star :) (geez, it takes a long time to get this scope situated - pointing then focus then dome moving and slewing...)
6:38 p.m. - damn computer!! The software freaked out (apparently this happened to Ginny lots her last run but I've been lucky) and so we had to reboot everything :(
1:35 a.m. - Ginny left :( She's gotta get on the shuttle at 8:30 so she went to sleep - I'm by myself now. And I turned on my music
5:05 a.m. - finished last star! Have to do flats and stuff - it takes a while to close up and stuff...
5:40 a.m. - finally finished with everything at the scope!! And for some reason I thought wierdos were gonna come attack me - I dunno - sometimes the mountain causes freaky thoughts :(
5:50 a.m. - happily in bed
Music - Long playlist again...
Monday, November 21, 2005
Day 14 (heh, we loves the digital camera - doctored in no way!!):
The daytime weather - AGAIN, mostly clear (honestly this is unusual!)
10:30 a.m. - ACK!! the maid lady came into my room!! Cripes - exactly what I needed after last night!! She had been mistakenly told my room was vacated (it was Ginny's that was) and I also had accidentally put up the little sign that requests maid service (I thought it was a lock)
I kinda had a hard time going back to sleep - I kept waking up and had freaky dreams that I don't remember well but seemed freaky (I'm not much of a dream remember-er)
2:00 p.m. - finally dragged myself out of bed and did some messing around
3:10 p.m. - up to the telescope to fill the lovely dewar and take care of business
4:45 p.m. - suppertime! roast beast... I sat with people who are well-versed in NSF and NOAO budget issues... Interesting...
another pretty sunset :)
5:30 p.m. - got my crap and headed up to the scope - I feel efficient :)
6:19 p.m. - got my first star!!
8:12 p.m. - ACK! Alarm!! Oh, the telescope is pointed too far over - guess I can't look at that star anymore...
crap, it seems my software didn't like that :( had to reboot and everything
8:46 p.m. - got everything straightened out and started on the next star.
1:15 a.m. - started reducing last night's data
2:17 a.m. - ACK - the alarm again - I need to pay more attention :(
2:47 a.m. - my long playlist ended :0
3:15 a.m. - managed to get reduced data sent off...
5:26 a.m. - finished last star, gotta do flats and go to bed...
6:15 a.m. - ugh, finally finished shutting everything down
The sunrise (longer exposure)
6:28 a.m. - bed!
Music - that long playlist again - it produces some interesting transistions... ; some Josh Groban a friend gave me (a bit mellow for my taste so I stopped listening) ; random stuff for a bit ; Enya - Shepherd Moons
Tuesday, November 22, 2005
It's gonna be my last night on the mountain!!
Day 15: eeeee, I'm so proud of me!! The pictures that make it are 1 2. Oh, this is at the solar telescope on a nicer day then today...
The daytime weather - well, not too good...
10:00 a.m. - why am I up? And why did I decide my blackout shade had to be up?? I'm dumb.
1:30 p.m. - finally got up after fitful tossing and turning :(
2:15 p.m. - got signed up for a shuttle down the mountain tomorrow (11 a.m.), went up to the scope - whoa, people here!! They took my instrument down the mountain, made some adjustments, and brought it back - nothing will affect me, it's just stuff to help the next group on this scope.
3:00 p.m. - packed myself up for my journey across the state (going to visit my aunt and grandma in Yuma!)
4:35 p.m. - suppertime! Chicken Tahitian (fancy), rice, veggies
hunh - indicative of the night...
5:35 p.m. - gathered up my crap to go sit in the scope with the internet - one can see that the clouds are thin, but they block out enough of the starlight so it is extremely inefficient to open - besides, all the stuff I want is at the beginning of the night :(
9:15 p.m. - started reducing data, finished an hour later - I think I did something bad cuz it only looks okay...
Pheeeww! Skunk smell :( Blegh. It was outside. It dissipated after a bit...
2:30 a.m. - finally went to bed :)
The evening's soundtrack - random crap ; Queen - Greatest Hits (maroon) ; Seal - IV ; playlist - Erika1
Wednesday, November 23, 2005
I leave the mountain today!!
Day 16: The daytime weather - good thing I'm leaving...
9:00 a.m. - got up, but decided to sleep another half-hour :)
11:00 a.m. - shuttle time!!
