Again, my CV (pdf)
For my graduate research work, I study hot, massive stars.
- My first papers were published on X-ray binaries - a pair of stars where
one is a regular (if massive) star and one is a neutron star. They may be
found here
(for the B supergiant),
here
(for the microquasar),
and here
(for the two Be X-ray binaries). A note about those links - if you want the
beautiful published paper, you have to have a subscription. HOWEVER, if you
would like to download a pre-print copy (the figures and tables are not
embedded in the text), you can get it from the pre-print server (the green
'arXiv e-print' link).
- During the course of writing the above papers, my advisor and I decided
we needed to have a model of the disks around these stars. That paper may be
found here.
- A major project (and one I've been working on for a while) involves a
pair of massive stars orbiting each other and one is transferring mass onto
the other. It got accepted to the Astrophysical Journal on June 21, 2007 and
may be found on the pre-print server
here (for the time being).
- My other major project and a large part of my dissertation involves a
survey of 120-some Be stars (rapidly rotating massive stars with an outflowing
disk of material around them). As soon as I can get it in publishable form
from dissertation form, I will get it into the world.
