THE INTERSTELLAR MEDIUM AND

There are vast quantities of gas and dust between stars in the disk of the Milky Way Galaxy.

Different kinds of clouds are observed using
maps of the Milky Way made at different wavelengths of light.

A dense part of the interstellar medium is called a NEBULA.
