Zalucha Subsector: Zalucha Subsector has an estimated population in 1202 of approximately 233 million, a decline of 65.7 percent from its Pre-Collapse population. Its highest population is 200 million at Galus, and its highest tech level is 9 at Zabel.

Zalucha Subsector (historical): Zalucha Subsector had an estimated population in 1117 of approximately 680 million. Its highest population was 300 million at Aderveen, and its highest tech level was 16 at Coxe.

Subsector Notes

Zabel: Zabel is currently home of the Corsair band "Black Rain." This unit took over the corporate retreat for a minor corporation back in 1126. They then forced the company's support personel into producing ammuntion for their group, and maintaining their starships. As the world wasn't that important, it wasn't retaken before virus hit. As most ships avoided the planet, only a Xboat entered with the virus. The vessel slammed itself into the old starport, damaging some of the industrial production, and the communications did cause a collapse, but the band was able to restore the infrastructure to a TL9 capacity. The "Black Rain" are currently at TL12, and have one operational Patrol Cruiser, and two Merc Cruisers in mothballs at the downport. Due to slaves taken from other worlds, or "rescued" from disabled ships, the actual population of the planet is sometimes as high as 2000. However, only the families of the original support crew live on planet (thus its small size). In fact, Zabelian forces have recently subjigated Dolenar.

Dolenar: This planet is in an undesirable position indeed. In late 1197, a raiding party from Zabel took the starport, and the main city. In return for not being sold into slavery, the Dolenarians operate their Starport as a R&R facility for the Black Rain, while they are off duty. Dolenar is also forced to pay tribute in the form of fuel and repairs to any visiting Zabelan ship.

Galus: Galus's Representive Democracy has so far succesfully fended off all the raids from Athay, but due to their small number of ships, their luck may not hold out long. The government is willing to offer astounding rates for working starships to aid in defense, or a mercenary unit to put a stop to the raids.

Athay: The TED at Athay is currently involved in building a naval fleet. However, the few ships he has managed to salvage have jump drives, but he lacks skilled astrogators. As it is, they can only manage the 1 parsec jump to Galus. The TED has been trying to get some astrogators, and is also trying to capture some ships from Galus, in the hopes of both getting a pilot, and getting another vessel for his fleet.
