HW #2: due at the end of class on Wednesday Nov. 5
Pick one of the following missions:
Mariner 1-9
Pioneer Venus
Venera 1-6, 8-16

For the mission you choose, submit an organized short report (2-3 pages double spaced) on the following apsects of each mission:
1. Country of origin
2. Dates (month and year) of launch, arrival(s) at planet(s) of study, and end of mission
3. The main goals and accomplishments of each mission
4. Any setbacks (what goals weren't reached? why? what happened unexpectedly?)
5. What instruments/equipment were on the craft? (Ex. Camera, spectrograph, solar panels, etc.)
6. How did the mission relate to other missions?

Include a bibiliography of any sources used. You should use between 5 and 10 sources. Follow the following format:
website: URL, title.
book: author (last name first), title (underlined), publisher, year, pages used.
magazine/journal article: author (last name first), title (in ""), name of magazine/journal, volume, page numbers.
