0.9m Telescope Specifications and Capabilities

   The following information is based on observations taken at the CTIO 0.9m 
     during the RECONS astrometry/photometry program that has been running 
                                 since 1999.

    These are meant as guidelines --- you may do better or worse for your
       specific program, depending on how you design your observations.

pointing              10 arcsec or better
guiding               ~1 arcsec for 300 sec integrations without autoguider
                      similar for longer exposures with autoguider

SCIENCE CAPABILITIES

astrometry	      3-6 mas/image
parallaxes	      1.0 mas through VRI filters

absolute photometry   0.03 mag for mag = 9-18 in VRI (<300 sec integrations)
		      0.10 mag for mag = 20 in VRI (300-900 sec integrations)

relative photometry   7 millimag over 10+ years for focused images
                      ~2 millimag for defocused images
