The time series of observations must start at exactly (within ~10 minutes) 23:50 UT (on the night of 25/26 July). This is to be done through any conditions (e.g., poor seeing, thick or thin cirrus clouds, occasional thick clouds), as a partial light curve is of good use. After the first image, double check that the target U Sco is approximately centered and off any bad columns. This whole series is easy and should take four hours, ending at close to 03:50 UT. The dark of night is 12 hours long (and my half night is thus 6 hours), so I have some time after the U Sco to take images of 6 other recurrent novae.
