The Solar Neighborhood is made up of nearly all types of
stars. In general, few are like our own Sun but rather much
smaller. In fact, the smallest and least luminous neighbors are
still being discovered. These objects are known as red dwarfs,
subdwarfs, brown dwarfs, and white dwarfs. In addition, the
number of planets discovered around nearby stars is continually
increasing. This page is dedicated to linking the efforts of
several astronomers to identify and characterize the local
neighborhood.
