TEACHING

CURRENT TERM

  • In my first semester at TCNJ, Fall 2010, I will be teaching Physics 401, Classical Mechanics.
  • I plan to post course materials on SOCS, though some materials may also reside here.
  • The required textbook is: Analytical Mechanics, by Grant Fowles and George Cassiday, 7th edition, published by Thomson/Brooks/Cole.

    PREVIOUS TERMS

The following contain links to material from courses I taught at Georgia State University. Don't be surprised if these links have died.

    SPRING 2010

  • Material for Astronomy 1010, Solar System Astronomy

  • NASA's main site with links to a tremendous number
of interesting photos and space mission results.
  • Tonight's Sky Check out what's visible in the sky tonight.
  • Bad Astronomy amusingly debunks many misconceptions
    (though it's somewhat commercial).
  • Pulsar Sounds where you can "hear" the radio signals of several pulsars
    recorded by large radio telescopes.
