Observatoire de Meudon, France
March 12-14, 2018

Each year the scientists involved in the operations and science mission of the CHARA Array gather to exchange news and plans.  The 2018 meeting will be held from Monday, March 12 to Wednesday, March 14 at the Observatoire de Meudon near Paris, France.

Tentative program:

Monday March 12 09:30 - 18:00 CHARA instrumentation, AO
Tuesday March 13 09:45 - 18:00 CHARA science developments
Wednesday March 14 09:45 - 13:00 CHARA future developments

The meeting room is on the ground floor of the castle, which is marked as building #9 on the campus map that is available here.  This web page also provides information on rail service to Meudon from the Montparnasse station in Paris.  From the Meudon train station, it is a 20 minute walk (uphill) to the campus.  Information on where to stay in Paris can be found on the hotel information page.

Note that the CHARA meeting falls close to several other meetings including:

  • ESO workshop "Imaging of Stellar Surfaces" (March 5 - 9, Garching, Germany)
  • University of Michigan MIRCX/MYSTIC PDR (March 14, afternoon, Observatoire de Meudon, in the same room as the CHARA meeting)
  • VLTI user meeting (en francais) hosted by the Jean-Marie Mariotti Center (March 15, Denfert Rochereau Paris campus of the Observatoire de Paris)

We are grateful to our colleagues in France, and especially to Vincent Coude du Foresto, for their help in making the local arrangements.

The number of participants is limited to 80.  Please follow the link below to register for the meeting and to submit a title for your talk.  The deadline for submitting a talk is Monday February 12th.
